Being
Sierra Leonean shouldn't stop us from getting big girl jobs

"We provide practical skills, placement training, feminist mentorships and more. Tools that most women can get almost anywhere in the world, which makes them job ready. In Sierra Leone, we've never had that , especially not for underserved communities, and most especially, not for women!"
— Mariama Wurie, Founder

Big Girl Voices

“BGJ gave me more than mentorship—it gave me someone who saw my potential and helped me believe in it too. With that support, I found opportunities I never thought were possible and began building a future of my own. I am now walking into rooms as the first in my family to pursue this kind of path.”
— Hickmatu Leigh, Digital Lead at BBC Media Action, and Founder of A.W.A.T.S (African Women and Their Stories)
“Through BGJ, I gained the guidance, confidence and professional connections I needed when I was searching for work. My mentor helped prepare me for the job market and recommended me to Innovation SL, where I grew from a trainee into a permanent staff member and now manage the Incubation Portfolio. This opportunity changed my life—and my family’s future.”

— Maimuna Bah, Portfolio Manager, Innovation SL
